Former facility of D. Wayne Lucas, this stunning 500+ acre property boasts a glamorous entrance drive to the Spanish stucco training and stallion barns and offices with a public viewing area of a picturesque 1-mile track. Walk through a starting gate. Tour the breeding barns. Observe Tommy Town’s Thoroughbred stallions it stands. The track is accented with foaling and mare barns set against the Santa Ynez Valley mountains.
The Burkman Centre at High Star Farm
Certainly one of the most decorated saddle seat farms in the country, the Burkman Centre will be demonstrating saddle seat at its best through education and exhibition in a “Saddle Seat Soiree” combining the romance of the Andalusian and Arabian.

The original horse whisperer is based in Santa Ynez and will be available to meet the tour guests, speak on natural horsemanship, provide a personal tour of the facility and learning center, introduce the famous “Shyboy” and host a meal the front yard of his and Pat’s personal home.
Rancho Chahuchu Peruvian Paso’s
Known as one of the premier facilities and breeders of Peruvian Paso horses, the stunning facility of Rancho Chahuchu is nestled in a private corner of Santa Ynez Valley. Rancho Chahuchu will present an education on the movement and form-to-function of Peruvian Paso horses, as well as a display of the farm’s national champions.
Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center
Since it’s founding in 1972, the picturesque Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center has grown to become one of the foremost equine clinics in the country and abroad. Here, you’ll learn about the most state-of-the-art equine hospital facilities and programs such as rehabilitation, teaching and research. More than 3,500 horses – from beloved family pets to show horses, to Olympic team athletes, to thoroughbred racehorses – pass through the gates of Alamo Pintado each year, to be placed back on the path to health and peak performance.
Platinum Performance Exhibition of Champions
Platinum Performance proudly presents the tour’s grand finale on Saturday evening features a private exhibition of national and word champions including reining by world champion Sandy Collier, dressage by Olympic medalist Charlotte Bredahl and jumping by California Horseman of the Year Kristin Hardin in a jam-packed 60-minute world-class exhibition at the Santa Ynez Equestrian Facility.

Day Dream Arabians
A leader in breeding Arabian type and the pioneer in Arabian Sport Horse, Day Dream Arabians will host a moving presentation of Arabian horses and the Day Dream program along with a full Sunday Brunch on the lawn.
Wild Horse Sanctuary
For those interested in exposing themselves to an often overlooked equine genre, the Wild Horse Sanctuary is dedicated to preserving natural herd groups, using non-hormonal birth control methods, and habitat preservation. The Wild Horse Sanctuary Excursion starts with an all-day private tour of the ranch facilities and a walk to the edge of the hills for a wild horse observation and explanation of social behaviors and herd etiquette. The experience focuses on the historical significance of America’s wild horses and current political issues that threaten their survival.
