|

Ali Saroukh’s pedigree reads like a Who’s Who of straight Egyptian lineage. It is a combination of some of the best breeding programs in the world, including Ansata, Gleanloch and Babson. Ali Saroukh was one of the first horses produced by the world-renowned Silver Maple Farm straight Egyptian breeding program, owned by Christie and Henry Metz. Estopasan
(*Rastano x *Extopa)
Om El Arab International |
|
| |
When the legendary mare *Estopa was nineteen years old, the decision was made to breed her to a pure Spanish stallion to preserve her Spanish heritage. The stallion chosen for this important mating was *Rastano. *Rastano was imported as a young stallion from Spain and was bred by Mr. Osuna Escalera, the same breeder who had bred *Estopa.
In 1985, *Estopa delivered her last foal, and he was named Estopasan. Estopasan has now developed into an elegant stallion and embodies many of the qualities of his dam and his Spanish heritage. His presence remains the last link to one of the most influential lines of this century. |
