How much does the Tour cost?
The all-inclusive price for your luxury equine vacation is just $795 per person based on double occupancy ($995 per person if a single room is preferred). An Early Registration Discount is available for the first 25 registrants, and offers $100 off the regular price per person.

What does my Tour Fee cover?
The Tour Registration Fee covers all on-site costs, including:
- 2 nights lodging at the Lexington Marriott Griffin Gate Resort
- Luxury charter bus transportation
- Gourmet catered meals and appetizers
- Farm stops and horse presentations
- Exclusive Meet-and-Greet with David O’Connor
- Champagne Reception at Check-In
- Fine Bourbon tasting
- Admission to the 2008 Rolex Three-Day Event’s Cross Country Day
- Complimentary admission to the private “Shelbyville Saddlebred Exhibition of Champions”
- Discounted day pass tickets to other competition days of the 2008 Rolex Three-Day Event.
What additional costs might be incurred that I should plan for?
Guests will plan for initial travel to and from Lexington, KY, specifically the Lexington Marriott Griffin Gate Resort as it is the point in which the tour begins and concludes each day. This includes travel from the airport to the Lexington Marriott Griffin Gate Resort. All other tour expenses are covered by the registration fee.
You may wish to bring additional spending money for souvenirs at bourbon distilleries, the Rolex Three-Day Event, exclusive tour logo apparel and gifts, and photographs of you with famous horses you’ve met on the tour.
Bus driver tips are covered by Destination Equus. If you wish to tip your Lead Bus Coordinator, envelopes will be collected on the last day of the tour.
What do I need to do if I'm planning on arriving early or extending my stay in Lexington?
It is impossible to soak up all of Lexington in just three days. If you are planning on lengthening your stay beyond the days of the Tour while still staying at the Lexington Marriott Griffin Gate Resort, just indicate your check-in and check-out dates on the Online Tour Registration form. Destination Equus will secure the room for you at a discounted rate of $199/night plus tax, while ensuring that you keep the same room throughout your stay. The Marriott will collect payment from you for these extended stay dates upon check-in.
How do I sign up for the Tour?

How many people will be on the Tour?
The tour usually attracts around 100 horse enthusiasts from around the world, and retains a “Sold Out” status at 150 people.
What type of attire should I plan for?
In April, Lexington is typically in the low 60 degrees to mid 70 degrees during the day, and can dip into the mid-40 degrees at night. The tour is Casual Dress. Be sure to bring layers and comfortable shoes. You may store unwanted layers in storage compartments on the buses.
What airport should I fly into?
The closest airport to the Lexington Marriott Griffin Gate Resort is the Lexington Airport (LEX) which is about 10 minutes away. Louisville International Airport (SDF) is about 1 hour west. Cincinnati International Airport (CVG) is about1 ½ hours north.
